Since 1888

 

Casteleijn Stroopwafels has been around since 1888 and thus already have over 130 years of experience! During that period, the company has grown from a bakery without customers to a company with a market that extends far beyond the borders.

Casteleijn Stroopwafels meets of course the highest standards of quality and Food Safety. Besides BRC food we are also IFS higher level, organic, and RSPO certified.


Our bakery

We are an industrial bakery of syrup waffels and sandwich biscuits. Since its foundation in 1888, we have been producing using authentic recipes. Because we produce to order, freshness is optimal, and you can taste that! Our machinery is state of the art, investments are regularly made in new possibilities.

Products

 

Our range rests on two pillars: syrup waffles and sandwich biscuits. We distinguish ourselves by the freshness and authentic taste, mainly because we produce completely order-driven.

First we bake thin biscuits. These are then topped with a syrup of caramel, raspberry or any other taste. The second biscuit is placed on top. The end result is a delicious crunchy sandwich biscuit with a soft filling inside.


A waffle is baked first, then cut round and cut horizontally and filled. In addition to the traditional butter caramel syrup, we also produce fillings with honey, hazelnut and many more types.


Our history

Casteleijn Stroopwafels has existed since 1888 and has therefore been around for over 130 years! During that period, the company has grown from a bakery without customers to a company with a market that extends far beyond the borders. Grandfather D. Casteleijn started in 1888 with a bakery in Bergambacht, the bakery and the house were built, there was only one thing missing and that was the customers. That was no problem, for he went to the local residents to ask if he could deliver to them, and so the Casteleijn bakery was born.
